A quick (it never will be haha) run through of the week's events!
Last Tuesday, met up with Mel extremely early in town to catch Happy Feet. Yes, I know. How loser. But it turned out to be quite cute though terribly boring. The cast was surprisingly not bad too! Nicole Kidman, hello.
After that, we browsed around at Far East cos she wanted to get a pair of black flats for her work which apparently requires black shoes, not unlike many departmental stores. Got her flats and while browsing around, I just happened to come across this pair of round toed heels. I was so torn between getting it in red or white. White won cos both the salesgirl (who was really very nice to us) and Mel voted so. But hey, no regrets so all's cool. Hello new shoes!
After that, she went off for work at Taka while I walked about town. Went to Cine's basement to go to the toilet and guess who I met! Lock and Beatrice! Haha. They're working at some booth there.
I went back home. And out again later in the evening. I brought my brother along so there! A great sister indeed thank you. *takes a bow
Najib made a deal with us. If we could be at Siglap by 6.40, he'd give us not one but two slices of cakes from his work place, Secret Receipe. We werent on time. Or rather I wasnt? HAHA. Since Hakiem was ready way way before I was. Hey, I had to bathe!
Because of that we couldnt get the cakes! Asshole. Stayed put at Starbucks for a while and then! Starting to really like thier toffee nut latte thing. What happens after the holiday season! No more of the Christmas Specials then? ):
We decided to head for the beach spontaneously. And I really do mean spontaneously. See, my brother couldnt understand the meaning of "lepaking" (lol) so he was really on the verge of tearing his hair out from Boredom. "Beach" slipped my lips and he was so on about it... So yeah. To the beach it was.
The walk there it those new heels (I just couldnt wait to wear them, cut me some slack!) killed me within 10 minutes so I continued barefooted henchforth. It did feel quite rejuvenating to go all bare (feet wise)! Najib was saying how my saying that reminded him of Krishna. -.- Sheesh. The dude's dead in my books dude.
We stopped by at the Ski 360 place cos Hakiem had to pee badly. Continued walking on till we got to the beach beach. By that meaning yeah, the sand, water, breeze. Oh yeah and groups of people flirting with each other. LOL.
Just sitting there soaking in everything, it really was quite soothing, as cliche as it sounds. The brother was just really minding his own business making a -what was it?- sink I think, by making a hole in the sand..
It just so happened that the night sky was pretty overwhelmingly pretty, hahah. But seriously. It was be-e-a-uteeeful. The moon was playing hide and seek with the clouds, giving off this creepily cool mysterious aura. Plus, it was tinged slightly red. The stars were (very) few but everything else more or less made up for it. And now I know how to spot Orion in the sky! I wonder if it's possible to see Delphinus up there.. hmm..
The lighted ships, the many planes flying by, the breeze. The cats! HAHA. There were plenty of them (as usual) but they were all to scared when I approached them! That or my "cat-lover smell" according to Daddy Dearest, wasnt as strong that night.
The planes made us think of going away.. to somewhere nice and far. To just drop it all and leave. We're all allowed to want to abandon all reason every once in a while, aren't we? It's not like we dont do it unintentionally anyway. So what's the difference to want the same thing not sub consciously?
Okay, my stupid computer died on me. Thank god I saved till here. Damn. I wrote a lot a lot more. I'll try to summarise. (By that, it meansa I'll keep it in mind, but it'll never happen) Sigh.
Najib and I were basically in a very strange mood. Depressed? Haha. Miserable? But comforting still. Go figure. Let's just say we talked about stuff and questioned and got pissed off and miserable and.. hahah. But it was still good, as weird as it may sound.
I mean, yeah. It did remind me about that incident which seriously is better off boxed away right to the back of my mind. I just hated (hated hated hated) the way it all turned out. I mean damn it. It really wasnt very nice. But I guess the good still overpowered the bad? We all try to think that way anyway.
After that, we walked all the way back to Siglap which felt real fast though it wasnt! (Spice Girls' on radio! Omg. How Primary 2 is that!) We dropped by Mas-Ayu for supper. My dad makes better Nasi Pattaya man. Lol. There was also this incredibly humongous cat that stole my heart for like several seconds before my loyalty to the cats back home hit me, hahah.
Took a bus back home and I'd say it was a good night. (:
Thursday and Friday seemed to melt into one another cos I basically did the same things so nothing much there.
Saturday was Lime Sonic Bang 2006! Though we werent exactly present throughout the whole show.. Going to a flea market with a guy is not advisable man. Najib was bored as hell. There were some pretty handmade jewellery that I swear I saw "$3" on the price tag but it actually was "$18". So much for perfect eyesight! The mind has other ideas..
It got boring so we decided to catch a movie! There was this seriously huge ass poster for Trust the Man, the cast (Julianne Moore, Maggie Gyllenhaal; wtvr the spellng, the XFiles guy) seems great so why not! Besides I'm up for a rom-com any day. Hahah, Toby is a freaking funny character. Actually so's Tom.
I found the audience to be quite strange. It's like, they didnt get the humour. I'm not saying that in a I'm-damn-smart-I-got-it-they're-stupid-they-didnt way, really. Maybe they're all mature enough to just smile instead of laugh? Omg, do we tend to forget to laugh as we age!? Cos the crowd was rather, old. Hmm. But at least the guy beside me knew how to! He laughs loud, haha. Not that I dont. But his is the really loud booming guy kinda way.
Anyway, it wasnt like any other romantic comedy. It's slightly different. For better. The plot has more depth, definitely. It's a good one to catch, yes. Then again I'm not all that critical when it comes to movies.. so..
After the movie, dropped by Cheers cos it hurts man, unfortunately. ): But hey, everything comes with a price.. I mean seriously the plasters were whoa. Not cheap. Bumped into Levan there and it got rather awkward/embarrassing when he asked how was the show cos well.. ya, I wasnt exactly present, was I! Hahah.
We stayed a bit for the last part of the show cos hey! Hady Mirza will be singing, yo! :D He sings good live, AS USUAL. Which reminds me! The Jan issue of Cleo! Hady and Mahal (some Cleo covergirl winner) sounds so cute in the interview, with the subtle (okay maybe not so) flirting! And hmm. The 2007 calender.. I expected more man. Eye candy no have. ): Not really anyway. October guy so isnt lah omg.
Okay, so then we realised that we were two hungry people. AND THERE WAS NO FOOD IN TOWN. Alright, so there was fast food, and "atas" food, and unhalal food. But we werent in the mood, were broke unfortunately, and very halal thank you, respectively. And fine. It was quite late.
We walked pass Paragon and there was this really interesting band playing! They were mostly caucasion and quite um old, dressed up as Red Indians. But the music was good, my father's taste totally. Oh! The streets! I've not talked abt the Christmas decor! The first time saw it, was during my "birthday" with the Opera people. But really. It's pretty! And that rhymes! Just like chimes! (smack me, sorry lol)
No Ayam Penyet when I started to crave it cos he mentioned it! I had no idea Lucky Plaza was so The Phillipines man. (That was not meant to sound derogatory in any way okay)
When all else fails, head for a 24Hr coffeeshop. So we took 14 all the way to Mas-Ayu again! Haha. Supper is very bad but nyeh whatever lah huh. Let's heck it once in a while.
Yup, sat on the curb for a while waiting for my bus and he was telling me how we could get into trouble if a police car passes by. I went "wth, are you serious". And then realised that I did know about it. Stupid. But we were near the bus stop and all.. And his brother drove pass! Haha. Yup, that's about it. Another good night, yay. (:
Then! Sunday! (I know this entry's another killer and I know I've to update more regularly to prevent such entries!) Family had dinner at the Chai Chee restaurant and whaddya know! Primary school senior took our order! HAHA. Eh his dad owns it, dont main main!
I think I kinda embarrassed myself when I went "Omg. Are you -?!" and then he said "Yah", I think he was quite stunned cos it was pretty sudden. Then I went "From Opera Estate Primary!?" (Like duh, I dont even know why I asked that) And he confirmed it. HAHA.
My mum was being irritating when he left!
"You think he's cute dont you?"
"SHHHH! Ma, please! He's right there! He'll hear you!"
Sigh. Mothers. And my dad was being irritating too! Making such a fuss, shifting tables and what not. Typical of him. -.-
So anyway, I think he gave me -okay fine us- a discount! :D
On to today! Did VivoCity with Clara (Lee)! My first time there, don snort asshole. It's really quite overated. I mean, with all that hype, I kinda expected more. Anyway, we caught Deja Vu and it is a fantastic movie, really! It is a good mix of action, thriller, romance, humour.. all rolled into one! Somehow, Denzel Washington always acts as a cop! This is a must-catch most definitely.
So then it was leapord prints, browsing, shoes, toe cleavage, browsing, buying, walking, weird service, browsing, more leopard prints, cool shades, overhogging the shades area (first to come, last to leave), camwhoring, etc..
The fourth picture was the result of me saying "stupid!" and she heard "sweet!", lol.

Yeah, you could say it was a good day. (: I am all done here. Haha, congrats, you survived! Cheers you guys. Hell, I cant wait for another fun day out. Nuzie hurry up come back dammit! (She just left ytd hahah) See you!
